Dr. Joseph K Han is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at Old Dominion University (Eastern Virginia Medical School). He is currently the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Administration. He was the Chief for the Division of Rhinology & Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery. He is the Chief for the Division of Allergy. Previously Dr. Han was the Director for the Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Joseph Han was the President for the American Rhinologic Society, the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology, Tidewater Otolaryngology & Ophthalmology Society, Korean American Otolaryngology Society, Chair of the Rhinology and Paranasal Sinus Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, and Chair for the Rhinitis, Rhinosinusitis, and Ocular Allergy Committee for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. Dr. Han is on the Editorial Board for the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology. Dr. Han was an examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery. He is a board member for EUFOREA. Dr. Han is the Editor for two books including the book, Practical Medical and Surgical Management of Chronic Rhinosinusitis. He is the Rhinology Section Editor for the Ballenger’s Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He was an Associate Editor for the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology and American Journal of Allergy and Rhinology. He has over 191 scientific publications, over 318 national and international scientific presentations, and over 217 guest lectureships. He has published in the top 3 medical journal (NEJM, JAMA, and Lancet) was either the first or senior author for these publications.
