Dr Leow earned his MBBS with first-class honours from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, in 1995, and a fellowship in general surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) in 2001. He obtained his Master of Surgery in Plastic Surgery from Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2005 and has completed fellowships in maxillofacial and craniofacial surgery in Germany and Taiwan. Throughout his career, Dr Leow has received numerous awards for his academic achievements and contributions to plastic surgery and rhinoplasty. In 2009, he was awarded the PSEF International Scholar by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. Most recently, he won a bronze medal for the Rhinoplasty Poster Presentation during the ISAPS Olympiad World Congress in Singapore, June 2025. He is a member of the Malaysian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (MSPRS) and actively engages with various international organisations, including ISAPS, OSAPS, ASPS, RSE, and RSA. Currently, Dr Leow practices as a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Pantai Hospital Ipoh and Manjung.
