Dato’ Professor Dr Prepageran Narayanan is a Senior Professor and Senior Consultant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is internationally recognised as a leading expert in both anterior and lateral skull base surgery, including endoscopic ear surgery and cochlear implantation. He has held numerous leadership roles, including Head of Department at University of Malaya, President of multiple regional and international societies, and Chairman of national specialist training bodies. He currently serves as President of the ASEAN Rhinology Society and the Malaysian Society of Hearing and Skull Base (MyHears), and is President of the Asia Pacific Symposium in Cochlear Implant Related Sciences (APSCI). Dato’ Professor Dr Prepageran has performed over 800 invited complex surgeries internationally, delivered more than 250 live surgical demonstrations in over 45 countries, and has trained more than 600 surgeons globally through his renowned 360° Skull Base Surgery Workshops, conducted since 2005. A prolific academic, he has authored 20 books, over 300 peer-reviewed publications, and the landmark Surgical Atlas of 360° Skull Base Surgery (Thieme, 2022). He has supervised numerous PhD, postgraduate, and fellowship trainees worldwide and continues to receive prestigious international awards for excellence in surgery, education, and leadership.
